Freedom to March was a grand exhibition highlighting the Gandhian ideas in today’s strife ridden world. Jointly curated by Johny ML and Anubhav Nath, this show was a takeoff from the idea of Gandhiji’s Dandi March (1930). Gandhiji had walked from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi seashore covering all the villages in between and had picked up salt from Dandi in order to defy the British Rule in India. Johny ML with his co-curator invited Indian contemporary artists to walk along the same route and in six sorties they took around twenty four artists from Sabarmati to Dandi. Based on their experience, the artists created works of art for the exhibition. Atul Dodiya, K.S.Radhakrishnan, Viswanathan, Manjunath Kamath, Arunkumar HG, Sukesan Kanka to name a few artists who participated in this grand project which was exhibited in Delhi and the US in four different occasions.
