From 1968-1987, Husain had 28 solo shows of his paintings and graphics across India and abroad which included cities as Hyderabad, Bombay, New Delhi, Baroda, London, Copenhagen, Germany, Geneva, to name a few. He executed two murals, one in Jaipur and one in Delhi as well as a few commissioned sculptures and participated in a number of national and international group shows and art festivals which included the III and IV Triennale International (’75, ’83), Perth Festival, Australia (1977), Asian Youth Festival, London (1980) Inaugural Exhibition, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal (1982)Ankara Biennale, Turkey (1986) and the Asian Biennale , Dhaka (1986).
