Susanta Mandal was born in Kolkata in 1965.

Solo exhibitions of his work have been presented at Gallery SKE, Bangalore, 2011; Art Heritage, Delhi; 1998. Susanta Mandal has participated in numerous group shows including Whorled Explorations, Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2014, Kochi, India, 2014; Small Art is Beautiful, Beirut Art Fair, Lebanon, 2014; Making History, Colombo Art Biennale 2014, Colombo, 2014; Aesthetic Bind- Phantomata’, Chemould Gallery, Mumbai, 2013; This is Unreal, Experimenter, Kolkata, 2010; India Xianzai, in MOCA, Shanghai, China, 2009. He was part of Residency programs, such as THEERTHA, Sri Lanka, 2012; britto, Bangladesh, 2008; KHOJ, new Delhi, 2007.

The artists lives and works in Delhi.
