Gopikrishna


Gopikrishna was born in 1965 in Trivandrum. After completing his BFA from the College of Art, Trivandrum, 1987, Gopikrishna pursued the MFA from the College of Art, New Delhi in 1989. His first solo show was held at the College of Fine Arts Gallery, Trivandrum, 1989. Over the years he held a number of solo shows which include Gates to Decivilization, Kerala, 2000, Personal Mythology, Palette Art Gallery, New Delhi, 2009 and Carnival of Rising Emotions, Art Musings, Mumbai, 2010. He also participated in several group shows, mainly in India, Singapore and New York. In 2000, Gopikrishna won the Kerala State Award for Drawing from the Lalit Kala Akademi as well as the All India Fine Arts Society Award in 2002. The artist lives and works in Trivandrum.
