The major point of departure of A4 Arple was the format of an A4 size paper. Curiously the curator found out that the variables of this format was used for making most of the documents both in material paper and in computer software. Also he found out that the canvases also reflected the multiplication of the same format in size and space. Besides, Johny ML discussed the very idea of ‘cluttered’ display in commercial galleries, which was a practice during the origin of public and private galleries. Therefore A4 Arple was also a radical departure from the normative clean display seen in contemporary art galleries. One may notice the spelling mistake in Arple. It is supposed to be Apple (as in A for Apple). Today, with image saturation, human brains process even the wrong things as right. In this sense, this show also debated the ethics of viewing anything including a work of art.
