In the Forests of the Night

Jesal Thacker is an artist by training, but she chose to pursue scholarship in art instead of art practice. A graduate with a degree in painting from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, she engages with research on modern and contemporary Indian art. In 2005, she founded the Bodhana Arts and Research Foundation, a not-for-profit in pursuance of her interest in these fields. She has most recently curated the exhibition, Astitva: The Essence of Prabhakar Barwe at the NGMA.
