Nihar Ranjan Ray


Nihar Ranjan Ray (1903-1981) was an Indian historian. He is known for his works on history of art and Buddhism. Ray's magnum opus in Bengali, History of the Bengali People: Early Period was initially published in 1949. Later, an enlarged and revised edition was published in two volumes in 1980.
