Tanmoy Samanta

Tanmoy Samanta (b. 1973), obtained BFA and MFA in painting from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan standing first class first in 1996. He has shown his works in Gallery Espace, New Delhi and Anant Art, Kolkata, among many others in India and abroad. He has participated in prestigious public art projects such as T2 Liminus-Mumbai Intl. Airport curated by Rajeev Sethi. “Beehive” project for the Hyatt Regency, Chennai curated by Rajeev Sethi, and Reliance ADA Delhi Metro Airport Express for IGI station.

Samanta has received many awards and fellowships including Pollock-Krasner Foundation award, New York.

Tanmoy Samanta lives and works in New Delhi.
