Sandhya Bordewekar has been writing on contemporary art and artists from Baroda since 1980. Her reviews and articles have appeared in national newspapers and international art magazines and websites. She has written extensively for art catalogues. Been invited on juries for art shows and collaborated with art galleries in India and the UK to curate exhibitions to showcase young artists from Baroda/India. She has also undertaken research projects related to cultural documentation. She has been involved with art management, organisation and consultancy for more than 30 years. She has worked as a Founder Member with Heritage Trust, Baroda, to get UNESCO World Heritage Site status for Champaner-Pavagadh, Gujarat's first World Heritage Site. She is currently Managing trustee with Bhasha Research and Publication Centre,vwhich is involved in issues related to tribal development, culture and languages. Since the last right years she is on the Managing Committee of the Navrachana Education Society which runs a number of schools and a university in Baroda.
