Zahra Amiruddin is an independent writer and photographer based in Bombay. She has a journalism degree with a Bachelor’s of Mass Media from the Sophia College for Women in Mumbai and specialised in digital and film photography, creative writing, and theatre at the Aegean Centre for the Fine Arts, Paros, Greece. She has worked with various publications such as The Conde Nast Traveller India, The National Geographic Traveller India, Time Out India, GQ India, Verve, Elle, Scroll, First Post, and The Hindu amongst others. She has taught photography at the Sophia College for Women, in Bombay, and The Aegean Centre for the Fine Arts, in Paros. She has also assisted Brandon Stanton, founder and creator of Humans of New York, during his trip to India.
